Demolition of selected areas of SHAPE begin on May 18, 2009. (Read more about the project here) Currently most of the demolition is complete, with some small areas on both the first and second floor left. This week we expect to complete demolition with the removal of the bleachers from the Varsity Gym. Next up is framing for the new layout of the building and final selection of contractors. During this initial demolition period the pool remains closed; however it will re-open for brief hours during the summer camps.
The schedule is extremely tight with our first group to use the Varsity Gym coming on campus on June 21 followed one week later by the Burklyn Ballet Theatre.
