New Kids On the Block

Amy Welch, Dept. of Environmental and Health Sciences; she will be teaching health sciences.

Welcome Back!

JSC faculty and staff took a break from their preparations for the new semester to whoop it up on the Quad on Thursday afternoon, August 16. Barbecue, skillet toss, volley ball, and other games, not to mention the gorgeous weather, made this a great day to catch up with each other and get excited for the new academic year!

We’re renovating the rest rooms on the third and fourth floors of Arthur Hall. The restrooms will be receiving a complete overhaul including new fixtures, lighting, flooring and wall treatments. Additionally, we’re relocating the RA office to the front of the building, making a few modest changes to the HA apartment and relocating the CES office.

Pop-Up Restaurant - Cultivate

JSC Business students created a "pop up restaurant" in Stearns Dining Hall on May 3. The restaurant, called "Cultivate," gave Business students a chance to give other JSC community members a taste of the hands-on work that goes into getting a business degree.

Finance and Investment Club Wins Again!

The 2012 JSC Investment Club
The JSC Finance and Investment Club again won the 'Vermont Showdown,' where college investment clubs compete.  This time around Champlain College, UVM, St. Mikes, Lyndon State, and JSC participated. The club had moderate returns of 22.68% compared to second place UVM with 21.21%. Congratulations!

The Lower Pond Returns


You’ll notice heavy equipment and construction crews working on the Lower Pond and College Hill over the next few weeks as Walker Construction works on the area.  We expect that construction will complete this summer and that we should have a fully functioning pond once again by the start of the fall semester.
